 上海臨港（gǎng）地區位（wèi）於上海東南角，地處長江口和杭州灣交匯處，距上海市中心75公裏，北臨浦東國（guó）際航空港（gǎng），南接洋山（shān）國際樞紐港，擁有13公裏（lǐ）長的海岸線，具備（bèi）得天獨厚的碼頭資源，是上（shàng）海（hǎi）沿海大通道（dào）的重要節點城市（shì）和中國（上海）自（zì）由貿易（yì）試驗區建設的直接腹地。“港為城用（yòng），城以（yǐ）港興”是臨港地區建設發展的基（jī）本（běn）思路。

 Located at the southeast corner of Shanghai, Shanghai Lingang area is located at the junction of Changjiang Estuary and Hangzhou Bay ,75 kilometers from the center of Shanghai ,75 kilometers north of Pudong International Airport and Yangshan International Hub Port in the south, with 13 kilometers of coastline and unique wharf resources. "Hong Kong for the city, the city to Hong Kong Xing" is the port area construction development basic idea.
